This new blade from Lenox has a couple of nice
features going for it. First, it has a double tang, so you can mount
it on your recip saw from either end. The ability to flip the blade
doubles the available cutting surface as well as the life of the
blade. This doesn't necessarily mean that you'll get exactly twice
the life from the blade, but you will get a significantly longer
work life. And that means more money stays in your pocket.
Second, the cutting edge consists of industrial diamonds brazed to a
narrow blade edge. The diamonds cut like nobodies business, and the
narrow blade means a narrower kerf. The result is that you cut
faster - there's less material to remove. The blade excels at
cutting cast iron, tile, brick, natural stone. In fact, Lenox claims
that this new blade will last twice as long as their existing LENOX
DIAMOND reciprocating saw blades.
